Pastor Howland became a Christian in 1990 at a youth retreat where he recognized genuine hearts for Jesus in his peers’– something he realized he needed. Now, as youth pastor, he is pleased to see teens transformed as he was, to live fearlessly and passionately for Christ. Howland diligently teaches teens the basic Christian concepts, including regular time in the Word and prayer, witnessing, fellowship, service, worship and discipleship.

Michael Howland holds a master’s degree in counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His undergraduate degree is in music and Bible from Grace University.

He and his wife, Julie, have been married 10 years. Together they enjoy exercise, travel, shopping, eating out and seeing touring Broadway shows. They also enjoy spending time with their toddler twins.
