F.F.C. Choir

There have been several requests recently for the choir to return to our 10:45am worship service. I am very interested in this as well and have truly enjoyed the ministry of our choir. However, things are changing at First Federated and these changes have an impact on our choir ministry. In addition to our 8am traditional service and 10:45am celebration service, The River service begins in the chapel at 10:45am on Sunday, September 14. This will complete our transition to a three-service format. It also means that people are deciding which service best meets their needs and this includes members of our choir.
In light of the tremendous effort required to bring The River service on line, and the strong desire to avail present and past choir members of the same opportunities for worship, Scott Eriksen and I have decided to wait until October to hold an organizational meeting for the choir. By the end of October we hope that everyone will know which service they want to be part of, which will also help us better understand who will be available for choir. To have a choir we must have at least 35 committed members. An organizational meeting will be scheduled for the end of October. If we have at least 35 committed members, we will begin rehearsals in November, with December being the first month to feature a choir.
