Obituary
Pastor Bill Green passed away on April 14, 2009. Visitation will be at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA on Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at First Federated Church. A private family interment is scheduled for a later date.
Bill was born on July 6, 1929 to Mabel and James Green. He graduated from East High School in 1947, served in the US Army, and spent the remainder of his life in Des Moines. He was self-employed for 40 years in the business forms industry and then thoroughly enjoyed serving as visiting pastor for ten years at First Federated Church. Bill loved caring for people, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clarice; son, Ed (Kem) Green; grandchildren, J.D. and Emily; and a host of family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to First Federated Church Debt Reduction Fund in honor of Pastor Green.
