The Road to Renewed Relationships

In Matthew 5:23–24 (NLT), Jesus says “So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to God, and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there beside the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.” Many other Scriptures could be offered to show that not only is God concerned about our relationship with Him, as we have studied during the past five weeks, but He is interested in our relationship with each other as well.

Sunday, October 19, we will begin the second series in our year-long emphasis on Renewal: The Road to Renewed Relationships. The overriding idea of the series is: We can’t be right with God when we’re not right with each other. If we want God’s blessings upon our life, corporately and individually, then being right with our fellow man is as important as being right with God. Beginning October 19 and concluding November 30, we will consider the following topics in our Traditional and Celebration services:

• When Giving Up is Winning
• The Power of Forgiveness
• The Purpose of Forgiveness
• The Process of Forgiveness
• The Platform for Forgiveness
• A Rock that Blocks God’s Blessing
