Voting, My Christian Responsibility

2008 Iowa Christian Alliance Voter Guide
To vote or not to vote, that is a question on many minds these days. Never before have I heard so many voices suggesting that they will just sit this one out.
I want to challenge you not to allow that kind of thinking to fill your head. There are many important issues on the table. To choose nonparticipation, simply because a candidate does not meet all of your desires, is the same as handing the country over to people whose agenda is contrary to your convictions as an American and follower of Christ. It is the responsibility of every Christian, through the lens of the Word of God and the prompting of the Holy Spirit, to be informed about the issues and cast your vote for the candidate that best represents those values. Also, I remind you that this election is not only about our next President, but also about Senators, Congressmen, and many state and local officials as well.
Speaking of state officials, I want you to know that a member of F.F.C., Eric Kohlsdorf, is running for the State House of Representatives in District 61. This is not an endorsement but a point of information. To learn more about Eric’s candidacy visit his website: http://www.EricKohlsdorf.com.
