Children Ministries
At First Federated, children and families are important! Our children’s ministries provide opportunities for children birth–4th grade to be taught, loved and introduced to the God who created them. From a very young age our children learn Bible stories that clearly show how much God loves all of us and desires to have a relationship with us. We want our kids to experience God’s love in the way we care for and treasure each one. We have policies in place that will assure you that your child will be cared for in a safe and nurturing environment so the focus can be on LEARNING ABOUT JESUS!
We consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to assist you with the spiritual training of your child!

Sunday Mornings
9:00am & 10:30am
Nursery Department
The Nursery Department offers loving, secure care for our little ones during the first two years of life. Each child progresses through infant, crawler and walker rooms at his own individual development pace. Formal teaching moments begin with our walkers. It is here that kids develop their first opinions of church—and we want to make them amazing!
Preschool Department
Our Preschool Department (for children two through five years of age, not yet in kindergarten) offers special programming just for this unique age group. During the 9:00 hour, preschoolers learn age-appropriate Bible lessons, enjoy snacks and crafts related to the story, and begin to develop caring relationships with others. During the 10:30 worship session, our preschoolers enjoy music, some free play time, and a reinforcement of the Bible story for the morning. As with all age groups, our desire is for preschoolers to learn how to apply God's Word to their everyday lives.
Elementary Department
Our Elementary Department is full of energetic Kindergarten through 4th graders! Their 9:00 Sunday School hour is a fun and active time for them to learn Bible stories, do crafts and participate in activities which bring Biblical truths to life. In small, graded classes the kids are learning how to explore God’s love letter, the Bible, for themselves.
K–2nd graders attend the first part of the 10:30 worship service with their families and then are dismissed to their own KZ Church in the chapel. 3rd and 4th graders remain in “big church” to listen and learn with their families.
Wednesday Evenings
6:30–8:00pm | During the School Year | September–April
Nursery
Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers while parents are attending classes or serving elsewhere in the church.
Happy Hearts
Never underestimate the two-year olds! Even these little ones are learning so much about Jesus in Happy Hearts. Songs, stories, crafts, snacks and practical lessons (like learning to share with others) make memorable evenings for our Hap–Hap–Happy Hearts!
Bible Buddies
Bible Buddies is a program of age-appropriate Bible lessons, application and Scripture memorization for children ages three (by Sept. 15, 2007) through pre-kindergarten.
(And don’t forget snacks, games, and friends!)
AWANA
AWANA clubs at FFC are for children Kindergarten through 4th grade. As a part of the international AWANA organization, our clubs provide an evening of adventure, including organized game times, small group handbook learning and Scripture memorization, and large group council sessions. Wacky theme nights, parties and outreach projects add to the excitement throughout the school year.
Sparks
for boys & girls Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the Awana Game Circle. During Green Meadow Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson. During Sparkle Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.
T&T Club (Truth in Training)
for girls and boys 3rd & 4th grades
Truth & Training (T&T) is exciting Awana program featuring increased focus on Scripture application, an improved club structure, a colorful new look, fun characters, and more.
Go to the T&T website to find some fun games to play!

Parent/Child Dedication Service
Parents desiring to have their child(ren) dedicated to the Lord will be given this opportunity during the morning worship services several times each year.
FFC does not baptize infants. We believe that baptism is a step of obedience made by a person who has put his or her faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. Baptism is an outward expression of what has already occurred in the life of a believer. In Parent/Child Dedication, parents and church make a public commitment to "train up a child in the way he should go," as God instructs in Proverbs 22:6. We give thanks for the gift of life and ask God's blessing upon parents and children in the hope that each child will trust Jesus as Savior and Lord someday.
