About This Site
Less clutter. Less noise. More clarity.
That pretty much sums up our *communication strategy at First Federated Church. In this era of information overload – and life at light-speed – we strive to provide an escape hatch. [In more ways than one.] So we’ve designed this site [simply] to answer your two most important questions:
- Is this a fit for me?
- If so, what is my next step? [And if you’re new to FFC, you can relax – your next step may be a simple as attending our weekend service.]
What you won’t find on this site is the snack menu for the toddler room. Because you just need to know when that room is staffed and ready for your child. And you don’t need a page on the philosophy of our men’s ministry. But a story of life-change from other men who attend FFC. Are we right?
What you will find:
- This Week – what’s coming up in our weekend, mid-week and age-specific venues.
- Events – what’s coming up for everyone, men, women and students.
- Blog – the latest news, information, and other items of interest.
- Volunteer – roll up you sleeves and get involved.
- Groups – get connected to other people at FFC.
- Want more? Check out I’m New to FFC, More Next Steps, and Resources.
To make this site relevant, engaging, easy and interactive, we’ve partnered with ejaeDesign to help develop our site utilizing the ExpressionEngine content management system. We also are utilizing SlideShowPro on the homepage.
And, now for the techie recommendations to maximize your FirstFederated.org experience. You’ll need:
- to allow pop-ups in order to utilize interactive features.
- a current browser with screen resolution at 1024 × 768.
- the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and download attached documents.
*Many thanks to Granger Community Church and Kem Meyer (the less clutter & noise guru) who provided the biggest source of inspiration for our communication strategy and organization of our website.
